Groups have two primary purposes:
To change the default sort order of
the contents in the Election Summary View to a customized sort order.
To restrict the vote totals in the
Election Summary View to include only a group of user-specified precincts.
In the Integra Election Reporting Console, there are two types of groups:
Contest Groups - Used primarily to create a custom sort order of contests in the Election Summary View, this group is also used to create permanent groups for federal, state, or local contests, or other contest groupings.
Precinct Groups - Precinct groups are used to create permanent groupings of precincts that will display totals for each contest that include only the vote totals from the precincts within the group . Such groups can help to see the real picture of how people in a town cast their election votes.
